Girl About Town, Worldette’s sassy and no nonsense agony aunt, answers your travel concerns. But watch out! Ask a silly question and our girl, who knows how to travel in style, might bite…

Dear Girl About Town,
I’ve spent the last year traveling around South East Asia and am pretty proud of myself. I had lots of adventure, took lots of photos and have a great collection of cool t-shirts from various countries.

The trouble is, I’m back home in my corporate gig and I’m suited and booted each day – the flipflops and fisherman pants are a thing of the past. What can I do to keep my memories fresh and hang onto that boho spirit?

Dear Former Fisherman Flip-flop Friend,
It’s true, once back in our real lives, the traveling wardrobe does disappear. And, we all have a growing collection of t-shirts. Why don’t you have them made into a quilt?

Wild Zipper (www.wildzipper.com) does a quick and professional job of turning t-shirts into quilts. You send her the t-shirts and she sends back a professionally edged, quilted blanket for your bed, spare room or lounge. Be it a collection of marathon shirts, Hard Rock collections or beer t-shirts from around the world, this collection can be preserved in a useful, cozy quilt and the memories can live on.
