Fifty years ago today Martin Luther King inspired millions with his speech, “I Have a Dream”?
How did King’s dream propel him to be the leader of such an amazing movement? With passion, fierce determination and a clearly defined vision.
King’s dream wasn’t a vague notion of change and equality. Nope, he had distinct images for what his future would look like, and by articulating them, the world was able to share his vision.
Today, the world he dreamed of still stands as a measure for us to see how far we’ve come and what remains to be achieved.
That brings us on to YOU. What dream do you have, lovely Worldette?
Have you been brave enough to put your dream into words?
Let’s do something together:
Will you take some time to imagine what achieving your dream looks, feels, sounds, tastes and even smells like? The first step in reaching your dream is doing just that.
Go ahead. Put your phone away, close your laptop, hell – lock the door and put in earplugs if you have to. Take a few moments right now and imagine yourself living your special dream. Concentrate. How do things look? What do you feel? What words can be used to describe it?
As Worldettes, we strive to live a life of adventure wherever we may be. Never forget that when you are feeling stuck, stressed or frustrated, you always have an out. Our minds can take us right to the place we want to be, and with a tribe of like-minded people to help remind you of your dream, the quicker it becomes reality.
So let’s make your dream a reality. Come over to the Facebook page now and tell us what your dream is.
Dreams DO come true,
P.S. Here at Worldette we have been working on a dream of our own. We think it’s pretty exciting and will help YOU reach some of your dreams too.
