Having a friend you have a genuine connection with; can share travel memories, laughs, and tears can be a beautiful (and challenging) relationship for personal growth and adventure. These women are traveling the world with their friends, and telling us what it’s all about. Take a peek inside their worlds here:

THE LOST GIRLS
Facing management jobs, mortgages and kids, Amanda, Holly and Jen from New York City, left everything behind to gain some perspective and travel the world. They’ve been doing this since 2006. They have a blog, as well as having just published a book called by the same name, detailing some of their inspiration and stories.

OUR WILD ABANDON
For these two besties, Jill and Kyla from Vancouver, Canada, their travel started when they took a whirlwind trip to Salt Lake City, USA. When they came back, they bought an old caravan and haven’t looked back. They have an amazing instagram account where they share beautiful photos of their travels together, and turn them into postcards. Currently they’re in New Orleans.

THIS BATTERED SUITCASE
Brenna is a travel writer from Winnipeg, Canada, who has been on the road since 2006. She doesn’t always travel with someone, but when she does it’s always with Kerri who has also been traveling or living as an expat since 2006. Their posts on their travels together are always good for a laugh, as well as giving excellent advice for how to have the best time when traveling with someone else.

GLOBETROTTER GIRLS
Dani and Jess, a German-American lesbian couple, decided semi-spontaneously to take their work as a copywriter and a recruitment consultant on the road in April 2010 to “see where it all would lead.” They been exploring the world together ever since and blogging to inspire curiosity about the world. Currently they are Llama trekking to the Rio Grande, New Mexico.

ADVENTURES OF 2 GIRLS
A celebrity magician and a radio DJ, “as different as chalk and cheese and twelve years apart,” Pam and Ning from Singapore, started their blog to share their adventures together with the world. They aren’t constantly on the road together, but when they are crazy things happen, like a night in a haunted Vietnamese hotel, a 10km/hr police chase, and being attacked by hunger-crazed bug.

TWO4TRAVEL
Laura and Claire have been best friends for 16 years. “Double the trouble, twice the adventure,” is the tagline on their site and their love of travel, photography and adventure sports makes for jam-packed action stories. Last time they posted, they were in the cayman islands, snorkelling and diving.

TWO ONE-WAY FLIGHTS
Twelve months ago Sarah and Charlotte from the UK booked two one-way flights to Bangkok. They’ve never looked back. Their blog give tips on finding work and on traveling with a friend, as well as trip details. The two friends are exploring the world several mishaps at a time. They are currently in Perth, Australia.

Don’t forget, even planning day trips  with someone else can be a life changing experience. So where are you and your best friend going?
